MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His work has led to major international progress into the Latin pop culture. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., located in Medellin, a Sony distribution company. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. In 2020 he released his charting sophomore album Dopamina and co-wrote Mala Influencia together with Noriel. Later in 2021 he was featured on a duet TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo is a product of a household of music his mother and older brother are musicians. In interviews he has described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. As a child, he was taught to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. Although his first career choice was to be a vet, his brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with one of the Cuban.
